Contribute 1-2-3
1. About Father Son Camp
Father and Son Camp East ministries is not about dollars, it’s about fathers being with their sons and daughters in a place away from distractions of the world — without dollars getting in the way. Then with Christ they are able to get to know and grow in love for each other. A dynamic model of our Father God’s interaction with each of us.
So, Contribution #1 is about coming to and enjoying camp, being part of it with each other and in fellowship with others on the same journey. Our Lord, Jesus Chris, driving it all.2. Being a Deeper Part of FSCE/FDCE
Throughout our years, we have been blessed… over 90% of our staff, volunteers and leaders have come from our campers. It is a God-led, God-provided blessing. We invite any who would like to help to let us know we have jobs for every gift and personality.
Whatever your interests talk to us if you are led to be a part.
3. Donations
At FSCE/FDCE we try to be low key on the subject of donations. It is our belief and experience that just as the Lord sends those dads and sons/daughters He knows will benefit from coming, He will likewise motiviate those touched by the ministry to provide for its support.
For those attending who desire to give toward the cost of the camp, it is estimated that actual costs are:
- $70 to $80 per person for the food/program and
- $90 for each campsite for the full camp
What do donations cover?
Donations go only to the costs to operate each of the 4 day camps, from Thursday ≈ 4:00 PM to Sunday noon.
Who pays for the Ministry grounds and operations outside of the camps?
These are covered by other sources.
In general, what do the camp specific dollars buy?
Food/Food Prep Operations
Firewood
Honorariums
Porta Potty Rental
Equipment rental
Ammunition/shooting supplies
Etc.
What are some of the costs to prepare for the camps?
Specific Purchases/Projects for FSCE/FDCE 2024 were:
Shower Upgrades, including new lighting and roofs
New adult and youth rifles
Archery target upgrades
Expanded staff parking
Those are necessary preps, but what about general administration items?
The usual:
Insurances
IT upkeep
Camp specific equipment purchase/upkeep
Outreach costs – conferences, printing, etc
Etc.
Do our camper donations cover the 2 - 4 day camp expenses?
No, before inflation hit, we were almost there!
In 2024 inflation and a couple other items took us 3 steps back.
Salaries/Personnel costs?
While we re-imburse direct costs and special needs we are blessed that our 60 – 70 volunteers and staff donate their time and energy to serve.
Sponsors?
No specific ones, but we have 15 – 20 businesses and individuals that help with goods and services free or at reduced costs.
It's all the Lord's!
